EXPERTISE

Governance & Strategic General Counsel

A continuing legal relationship with the context to advise across the business.

The value of continuing counsel grows with an understanding of the business: how it earns revenue, where decisions sit, which relationships matter and what risks its leadership is prepared to accept. Adad provides ongoing Qatar legal advice to boards, management and in-house teams on that basis.

We connect governance, material contracts, regulatory questions and emerging disputes. This gives each instruction a wider context and helps management see where a decision in one part of the business creates obligations in another.

A continuing arrangement is governed by agreed engagement terms covering scope, duration, responsibilities, reporting, fees and arrangements for ending the appointment, subject to applicable professional duties. We also agree how instructions are raised, when matters are escalated and which work requires a separate engagement.

For clients with an internal legal team, we provide Qatar input and additional capacity within that team’s working arrangements. For businesses without one, we help organise legal priorities and coordinate specialist or international advice as required.

THE DECISIONS THAT MATTER

01

The board agenda

Identify the matters requiring a decision, the approval route and the information needed to exercise judgment.

02

The legal workload

Agree the priorities, responsibilities, reporting and escalation process for continuing advice.

03

The wider business

Connect transactions, contracts, regulation and disputes so that advice remains consistent across the organisation.
